  1. use a heat gun for water based inks as well…… don’t bother with a hairdryer…… heat guns aren’t expensive….

what about water based ink ?

  3. A hairdryer won’t get hot enough. To cure plastisol ink the temp of the ink has to reach 320 F.

  4. is the heat gun specifically for screen printing or could you use a hairdryer or something similar??

  5. lol! He owns the company that sells screen printing supplies and machines, if you do a little research you’ll see he’s paid pretty damn well ; )

  6. what kind of ink is use?

  7. Usually you import the art into a computer and then print it using an inkjet printer.

  8. how did u transfer a sketched art or design into the velum?

  9. LOL….WAKE UP!!!! Just kidding. So here’s the deal. We will have a brand new, total screen printing lesson DVD done by January first. This video is from our first and now ancient (relatively speaking) original DVD 101. Look for the replacement January 2009!

  15. Yes, you can also do it officially by getting the pantone mixing system and mix all the different colors you want.

  16. can you mix plastisol inks to make new colors?

  17. Super Service When I order

  18. Kiss me Im Irish?? why peepole like say that?

  19. maybe its about the ink, or you’ve got lower density of the screen…

  20. Great, thanks alot.

  21. is it possible to cure the ink using the halogen lamp used to transfer the image? that thing gets ver hot but I’m not sure if the “light” could damage the color.

  22. everytime i back flood i get on the other side of my screen, i mean like a thick layer and it ruins everything, so have to clean it off, its just a hassle..how do i keep from doing that?

  23. Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for the GREAT info. Keep up the great work. I was wondering what ink you recommend for t shirts: plastisol or water based speedball type? To me it seems like plastisol would be more permanent but has more of a noticeable hand. I can’t hardly clean plastisol out of my screens though so it doesn’t lend itself to switching ink colors readily.
