One a Day – 7 Things to Do This Week With Personalized Stationery

Brian Jenkins asked:

There are not enough days in the week for all the options you have for personalized stationery, but we can start with the seven that we do have.

Monday

Make decorative cards for birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving or even Valentines Day.

You can choose any special occasion, because whenever that day arrives, nobody seems to have enough time to sit and create the stationery. This allows you to save not only money, but you also get to send this stationery to all of your loved ones. A personalized gift is usually considered much more thoughtful than the generic store bought variety.

Tuesday

If you have children, make an ‘arts’ table with glue, pens, crayons, glitter, cut out pictures or anything creative and fun. Your kids can then make all sorts of pictures they could give to your family, or use at play-time. Not only can you help them paint or create all sorts of fun pictures, but you can make unique and funky frames to go with them. Instead of throwing away an old or boring frame, you can modernize it by sanding it down, painting it with a new color, and use your personalized stationary to make, stick or draw on patterns or designs.

The children can make their own personalized frames for their rooms, or even for your family in which you could place photos inside and give them as small, but special gifts. This activity could not only emphasize quality time spent with your children, but teach them new artistic and creative skills, too.

Wednesday

Instead of spending money on a new calendar every year, why not make your own using your personalized stationary. Decorate it to your own tastes, use family photos for each month, family occasions, include photos of your favorite places, animals, flowers, or anything else you desire. There are so many options that you may even end up making a calendar for every family member and friends. You now have the perfect outlet for your creative ideas

Thursday

Make presents for friends by using your personalized stationary! All you need are a couple of ideas to get you started. For example, you could make penholders out of tins. Begin by painting the tin, maybe cover part of it with corrugated cardboard, and decorate it with ribbon or stick-on accessories. You could also personalize boxes, which can be used to store paper work in, or create personalized shopping lists or diaries. The options are only limited to what you can dream up.

Friday

Every year, the prices for decorations increase, making it nearly impossible to decorate your house just as you like it. Therefore, if you are the creative type, you can create your own. Make paper cutouts of hearts, balloons or holly and stars using your personalized stationery, and make a simple banner for any holiday by cutting out huge letters and hanging them on the wall. Another example for Christmas is making a wreath or holly out of various materials, with folded paper leaves or other accessories. Other fun Christmas decorations to make can adorn your tree, such as glitter ball balls, stars, presents, angels and even tinsel.

Saturday

Instead of having to buy expensive wrapping paper that you do not even necessarily like, just create your own using simply paper, marbles, paint, and stamps. Use your own personalized stamps and decorate the paper with different colored stamping, or dip marbles into paint and roll them over the paper. For example, one could make the final additions to your stationery using metallic pens. You can also create gift boxes out of cardboard and then decorate it the same way as the wrapping paper or personalize it even more with ribbon etc. This way, you can create gift-wrap that is suitable to the person you are giving the present to, as well as saving you money.

Sunday

Lastly, spend time writing the thank-you notes on your personalized paper to all the people you have never written to for a birthday or any other occasion. Even writing letters to loved ones you do not often see, instead of using email, a letter is always more special and personal – especially these days, as they are so much rarer.

There are many ways to use personalized stationery and you can find an activity for every day of the week. Personalized stationery can be a handcrafted card or something store bought that has a name engraved on it. If you have kids, you can get them to help create this stationery and this is a great way to keep them busy for a day. Whichever holidays are coming up in the near future, you can allocate one day to each task and your stationery should be prepared by day the holiday arrives.
