Euthanize Innocent Animals? Oh No! Try No Kill Animal Shelters

Muna wa Wanjiru asked:

We have all heard of animal shelters where stray, lost, unwanted, abused, and neglected pets can be found. Some of these animals are found on the streets and others are dumped there by their owners who for various reasons no longer seem to want their faithful pets. While some animal shelters have no other choice than to euthanize these innocent animals there are no kill animal shelters.

While these types of no kill animal shelters are in the minority they serve a very valuable to service to the community. Like the regular animal shelters these no kill animal shelters look after homeless animals that have been left behind or turned out by their human families.

In the no kill animal shelters the animals are brought in and given a gentle cleaning to rid them of all of the filth of the streets and unwanted parasites on have decided to make their homes on and in these pets. The veterinarian staff at the no kill animal shelters will treat any of the wounds and injuries that these pets have sustained. In addition any diseases will be cured or the pets will be made as comfortable as possible for the duration of their life.

Once the new tenants to the no kill animal shelters have been groomed and treated by the vet, they are given a new meal and bedded down for a while. These animals at the no kill animal shelters will stay in the shelter while a suitable foster family or adoptive family is found.

The various foster families who work with these unwanted animals will work hard to regain the trust of these animals. In addition the pets will learn to be a part of a family again. They will learn the various commands and obedience commands that are necessary for a household pet. When the animals are ready to be adopted the foster family will bring them back to the no kill animal shelters.

Here the screened and prepared adoptive families will be waiting to see if they are ready to adopt these gentle creatures who are just crying out for some love and caring. These families will be allowed to take their new pets’ home but it will be for a short trial period. During this period the family and the pet will have a chance to bond and grow comfortable with each other.

The adoption process will be allowed by the no kill animal shelters only when they are satisfied with the caring and love that these previously unwanted pets are receiving from their new adoptive families. In many ways no kill animal shelters are the answer for a new life for many pets.

Mixing Stopmotion Animation With Live Action Movies!

Dermy O Reilly asked:

Over 100 years ago a pioneer in stopmotion animation, (1892-1965), started making the first short movies with stopmotion animation after his experiments with documentaries on insects. One of his first movies the 1912 Khanzhonkov Company Moscow , produced “The Cameraman’s Revenge” featured beetles and “infidelity” of all things! (Ladyslaw Starewicz)

Originally Starewicz would use wire legs to attach to the insects’ bodies. Later he would use quiet intricate ball & socket armatures ( well before his time ) combined with leather and felt-covered puppets in place of the delicate “dried” insect carcasses. He further extended his characters to frogs and human like figures in “A series of Animated Figures executed by the Russian Art Society of Paris” in 1922. While these animations had no live action intermingled in them they set the stage for Stop motion animation movies to come.

In 1925 Willis O’Brien (1886-1952) wowed audiences with his effects work on a film adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Lost World

A precursor to this were some of O Brien’s earlier stop motion animation works; notably “The Dinosaur and the Missing Link: A Prehistoric Tragedy” in 1915. . O Brien used clay animation characters in this movie.

Soon after he began work on a similar movie about people stranded on a deserted island full of dinosaurs. This feature was originally called “CREATION”. Unfortunately, studio executives lost interest and dropped the project early on in production. They however did employ O’ Brien and his special effects skills on a movie originally entitled

“THE EIGHTH WONDER”.

The film was released in April 1933 under the title “KING KONG” a true classic for film history. This was undoubtedly one of the first mainstream

successful movies to incorporate live action and stop motion animation. “Son of Kong” followed in December 1933 to equal acclaim.

Edward Nassour (1911-1962) the animation supervisor for the 1951 movie “Lost Continent” followed on now well established genre of mixing live action and stopmotion animation again with the theme of dinosaurs and monsters. Though the film was not as well received as previous such movies it did however keep the genre alive.

“The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms”

In 1953 the famous animator animated the enduring monster from “The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms”. This movie can be described as one of the original landmark Harryhausen film..with its theme of the atomic age monster movies. It spawned a whole eara of “certain Japanese monsters” created by atomic experiments in early days of the Atomic bomb.

Ray Harryhausen

1970 saw the release of a movie based on a book by JG Ballard called “When Dinosaurs ruled the Earth”. Master animator Jim Danforth created some memorable images in this movie and also later with Ray Harryhausen in “The Clash of the Titans” in 1981.

The tradition of mixing stop motion animation with live action continued in the 80’s with the sci-fi thriller “Dreamscape” (1984). A large snake man creature keeps chasing the lead character in his nightmares using puppetry but also stop motion animation. Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) employs stop motion in one pivotal scene to great effect.

However as the millennium came and went the genre of mixing live action and stop motion animation in major film releases gave way to CGI. There are still however many examples of live action and stop motion animation used in short movies, documentaries and commercials such as the Sony Bravia Commercial with animated bunnies running throughout New York. Or the Sony PSP commercial which featured objects in animation and live action rather than character or puppet animation. Its notable also that the preferred medium seems now to move towards object animation rather than the more time consuming character animation of what is now the last century.

Animal Abuse: Animals Are Not Targets

Cindy A Christiansen asked:

g up on a farm, I witnessed a great deal of animal abuse. Not from my family, of course, but by passersby. The pens of the animals nestled up against the Salt Lake canal bank which had a small dirt road that ran the whole length of the canal. You could look down into our pens of cattle, horses, sheep and pigs, taking in the normal scents of a working farm – alfalfa, straw and, of course, manure. Here are a few of the things that took place over the years:

* ROCKING THROWING IS A GREAT SPORT. Rock throwing was a popular sport of the youngest vsitors. The point of the game was to see who could hit one of the animals first. The cows made the best targets because of their size and lumbering movements.

* ANIMALS MAKE GREAT TARGETS. Christmas was another joyous time when teens received their first BB guns. An aim and a hit was the same as shooting a paper target to most boys. Their squeals of joy were heard across the farm. My dad spent many hours trying to heal the bleeding holes in the animals – many BBs never recovered, infections ensuing. How I wish they could have watched the senseless pain they caused the animals and my family.

* GARBAGE IS A YUMMY SNACK. Children weren’t the only ones who wreaked havoc on the farm. Even the simplest, careless act would lead to harming an animal. In the later years, our farm was surrounded on three sides by sub-divisions. Although garbage pick-up was available, neighbors bordering us saw our farm as a dumping ground and a place to tromp our hay down for their baseball games. I never understood as our family drove along the fence lines throwing our neighbor’s garbage into the back of our pickup truck why they weren’t humiliated by their deeds. It has never stopped to amaze me looking back at this time, how they thought they benefited by their acts. They could still see the garage over the chain-link fence. Why not gaze upon the beauty of a green field instead?

As the cows and horses grazed the pastures during different seasons of the year, an interesting morsel of nails, plastic bottle caps, or the remnants of a ham sandwich in a plastic baggie would catch an animal’s eye or be eaten with a mouthful of tasty alfalfa. I remember helping my father inject magnets down the cow’s throats with a bolus to collect as much iron and steel as possible. This was to prevent punctures in their stomachs. The iron and steel caused Hardware Disease or peritonitis. The magnets would hold the metal in place and cellulous would wrap around it much like a pearl in an oyster.

* INDIRECT MEANS OF ABUSE. This garbage practice over the fence did nothing to help the flow of farming. Despite regular collections by my family, garbage magically appeared continuously, including rocks which couldn’t always be seen in a stand of alfalfa. These “gifts” from our neighbors damaged and broke our farming equipment of bailers, rakes and plows – costing valuable time and loss of crops for the animals.

* PETS ARE LIKE FAMILY. Being a dog lover, the episodes we suffered with the dogs caused my heart to ache the most. One of my favorite dogs in my youth was Duke, a blue heeler. Despite the name, Duke was a female. She was a protective dog even to us kids and she worked the sheep and cattle like a pro.

One summer day, Duke crawled to the back porch door, whimpering. We found her on the steps, a bullet in the top of her head. My father was an excellent veterinarian without ever having had any formal training. Somehow, he miraculously managed to save Duke’s life. She was never the same after that. We soon realized there had been some brain damage to her.

One day my dad and I, along with Duke, hauled a load of our neighbor’s garbage to the dump. Duke rode in the truck by my feet. When my dad left to rake out the back of the truck, I reached down to pet her head. She lunged at me, knocked the glasses from my face, and bit my cheek and eyelid. The blood poured profusely from the bite. I was shocked by the act of my once protective, loyal friend. But as young as I was, I still understood. The love for this dog was strong in me and I didn’t want her to get into trouble with my dad. I searched the glove compartment for tissues or towels to cover my injured face but to no avail. I wiped the blood on my jeans and on the Naugahyde roof of our old 1964 Ford pick-up truck.

I quickly turned my head so my father wouldn’t see me as he stepped into the truck. He noticed the blood on my jeans and the roof of the truck instantly. He turned my face toward him and stared at me in disbelief. My words were soft, “Please don’t be mad at Duke.” We returned home and I was never to see Duke again. I asked my dad where she had gone, and he told me she had wandered off. In my heart, and by the pain in his eyes, I knew what had truly happened.

* DOGS AND CARS. Over the years we had many dogs on the farm. Although many of our animals were injured by careless acts, some were deliberately ran over by people speeding along the road.

All of these acts proved painful and senseless over the years. It is good to see that some of our staes have passed a law which makes animal abuse a federal crime. Alaska, Idaho, Mississippi, North Dakota and South Dakota have still not passed this law. If you live in these states, please contact your senators and representatives today.

So far in my books, I have included dogs and also deal with the subject of animal abuse. It is an issue close to my heart. I hope through this article and my books people will come to understand that animals are not targets.

Animals Should not be Put in Cages

Jason Richards asked:

It possibly began in the bygone when man began to understand the beauty of animals. Coupling with his capacity over them, he perhaps sure that he required to have the striking animals that he had encountered on his hunting trips to be near him. Through the centuries, man has domesticated somewhat a few animals to complete his wants, and sometimes to provide no want at all. It is one thing to keep an animal near attend one’s needs but it is cruel to want to keep them ‘just for fun’. Hence, keeping animals and birds in cages is pretty ridiculous if not cruel.

It is most definitely cruel to keep any animal or bird in captivity; worse still confined in cages. An animal or bird are so relaxed in its own environment. It knows of no restrictions. It goes about its own business of ingestion and drinking and creating babies. Even domestic animals would like to gait about, and act according to their instincts and needs. Caging them would deprive them of this. How often have we seen confined animals pacing their cages in futile attempts to leakage? Can we picture the frustration that they feel? What do we get in making a person furious, frustrated and depressed? Yet humans do it all the time. Since we would think it cruel if someone were to crate us, it stands to cause that we should not do it to others, even animals and birds. The intellect of fairness we grasp so dearest when it comes to humans should be extended to all living creatures.

Besides being cruel, it serves little rationale to want to birdcage animals and birds. Wild animals and birds being enslaved up serve our selfish pleasure of license over others and that’s about all that we do. Cultivating such natures does not do us any good; actually developing such natures will make us cruel and egoistic. Left in the riotous a bird does all sorts of effects; when kept in the cage, it just sits there. Granted the birds are scenic to look at, we cannot declare the bird at its best when it is caged. To inspect the bird at its best we should go to its home. Caging domestic animals just serves the tenacity of controlling them. If we cannot look after them, why acquire them in the first place?

Finally, we have no right to do this; we do it because the creatures are feeble to foil us from confronting them. If we are robbed of such rights, we would pretty die than yield. Only in the cruelest of regimes are men and women confined only because the government – good or, otherwise – thinks that they are threats to their dominance or to the country. By what right then do we imprison animals and birds lacking any qualms?

Wild animals should be left liberated in their habitats and domestic animals should be given as much openness as workable. The only rationale for sentence birds and animals is when they are a hazard to themselves or to others. Nevertheless, rough animals and birds should never be captured in the first place.

Let’s Look at Animal Rescue Groups

Jason Richards asked:

Animal rescued organizations or groups propose you a great place to get your next family pet. These groups are all different, but they do have general goals. These groups work hard to locate a lasting loving home for unwelcome or misplaced cats and dogs. Many of these rescue groups rely on volunteers and donations to custody for these pets while they are between homes.

When you start looking for a rescue group to work with, you will find that most of these groups do rely on their hard effective volunteers and prove from the limited society to operate. You will also find an extensive sort of animals presented through these rescue groups. Many of these groups finger all types of animals and you will find kittens, puppies, and even adult pets existing for adoption. You might be startled to learn that some groups even offer exotic pets such as reptiles, pot bellied pigs and even guinea pigs.

As you create looking at pets available through rescue groups, keep in concern some of these animals have had very hard lives. You may find a dog that was abused by its landlord. You may find a female cat that has just given birth. Their owners have relinquished many of the animals open by rescue groups because they are pitiful or can no longer attention for them. In addition, some of these groups take animals that live in eradicate shelters or as strays living on the streets. Some programs also offer neuter and neuter publish series for natural cats.

Rescue groups do a good job of showing animals before adopting them out to new homes. They also protect latent pet owners. IF you find a pet offered through a pet rescue group, you will be asked to show a shrink aphorism that you consent to tend for the pet long designate. You will also be asked some questions about your home, your children and other pets you may have. This is not to be nosey-it is modestly to help attain an owner with the right pet. If the animal suffers from a health condition, such as diabetes, the new owners know this up front before adopting. Having the animal’s health story at the time of adoption helps the animal find a permanent home.

You can collect a lot of special satisfaction by adopting your next pet through an animal rescue organization. You know you have done something to help and your new pet will show its appreciation. If you are interested in adopting through one of the many rescue organization, it is painless to find one in your zone. Your vet could give you the contact information for organizations near you. Usually, these pets are kept in personal homes (encourage homes) pending they are adopted. The gives the animal time to be socialized with other pets, children and time to get wearing to living in a home. Sometimes, animal rescue groups will carry their animals that indigence homes to pet food or other locations for interested people to see and collect the animals on certain weekends.

When you prefer a pet in a rescue code, be ready to go through an interview and application means. The organization needs to know these pets will be well cared for the long duration. You will doubtless be asked about other pets you may have, the age of your children, the volume of your yard and your judgment on a cat with claws if you are looking at a cat. This is to help tallying the pet with the right owner. Adoption fees differ by each organization, but you can supposed to pay $100-$200 for a rescued animal. These groups do not make a profit. These fees disguise the outlay of the animal while it was in the care of the organization. This adoption fee typically covers vaccinations, health exams, spaying, and neutering.

Getting your next pet through an animal rescue organization is a responsible way to get your next family member. You can also find many volunteer opportunities through these organizations.

dudi asked:

Many people do not concern about animal.but we have to realize that animal is important to balance our live.we have to keep the animal alive in they habitat and do not damage they habitat.

We have to avoid the illegal logging because the illegal logging can damage animal environment.many cases that illegal logging impact to the animal because they do not “home” anymore to stay.many animal comes to villages to search the food because i they habitat no foods anymore.if the wild animal comes to villages it will be danger for the people who live in that village.

people always hunt the animal to take her part of body such as animal skin, cula and more to use as accessories.the animal accessories is very expensive so many people hunt the animal body part.but we can keep animal live with do not hunt the animal because many ways to make a money without kill the animal.

We are as citizen has to corporate with the government to keep animal live and avoid them from the wild hunter.as a citizen we can donate some money to the zoo because some of the zoos very lack of money and they need help to keep the animal alive, so we have to fight the wild hunter.

Many way to keep animal live in they environment beside do not illegal logging.if we find the animal you can call the zoo officer to catch them.the zoo is the best choice to send the animal keep alive. At the zoo the wild animal will feel more save because they will cover from the wild hunter.

The Wild Animal Park In San Diego

Jadon Sluck asked:

The Wild Animal Park is one of the best places to see animals in San Diego, other than the San Diego zoo. Spread out over an amazing 1,800 acres, the animals have ample room to play and roam around in the animal park. The sight of the animals playing in the park like they would do in their natural habitat almost convinces you that you are observing them in their native Asia or Africa.

The animal park enjoys a reputation of having saved numerous endangered species of animals from almost certain extinction. During its thirty years of existence the animal park has seen a dramatic increase in the number of animals that were once considered endangered species. Currently all wild Arabian Oryx are descendants of the Arabian Oryx that have been reared and nurtured at the Wild Animal Park.

Visitors can choose to wander down any of the numerous paths in the parks and observe the smaller animals. Though this is a delightful experience in itself, more is yet to come when you ride the Bush Line Railway. This hour-long exciting railway journey offers you the once-in-a-lifetime chance of observing rarely seen animals including the rhinoceros and the white rhino in their natural environment.

Summer is a popular time for people to visit the zoo. A record ten to fifteen thousand visitors throng to the zoo on a typical summer day, so it best to be there early to avoid long waiting lines. In winter the zoo is not so crowded, with an average of 2,000 visitors. In summer it’s great to walk around the park for a while and then go for a ride on the railway. You can still walk around some more after you disembark from the railway. It can get quite hot in the park in summer so make sure you carry along a good sunscreen. And don’t forget to take plenty of water as well to keep you from getting dehydrated in the scorching Californian summer.

San Diego’s Wild Animal Park is located 32 miles to the north of Escondido in San Diego. The area that the park is located in is peaceful and serene, making it a better place for the resident animals. The San Diego Zoological Society runs the operations and management of this park as well as the San Diego Zoo, which is popular the world over. With the zoo and the park, the Zoological Society does an excellent job of preserving wildlife that is on the brink of extinction as well as creating awareness among people on the diversity of animal life.

When you do visit San Diego next, either alone or with your family, do not forget to put the Wild Animal Park down on your list of must-do things in San Diego. It’s a great place to learn some more about endangered wildlife species as well a wonderful opportunity to see some of the rare animals from all over the globe.

Download Anime Movies – Full Anime Episodes Download Sites

Ricky Lim asked:

Are you curious about downloading anime movies? If you love Japanese cartoons (Sailor Moon, Naruto, Bleach, Genesis Evangelion) and culture, you will love the fact that you can download anime movies while paying very little for them.

What places can you go to in order to download and watch cheap movies?

There are 3 options at your disposal to use and find anime movies. You can use them to get those anime movies you want and watch them on the TV or PC.

1. Free P2P Networks

You can find a number of cartoon series by using P2P networks. You can find anime videos and movies on P2P networks and you can do that for free. But, there are a number of issues with downloading from P2P networks, such as viruses, spyware and adware. Also, you can get low quality pictures and a slow download.

2. Anime Fansubs

These are versions of Japanese cartoons, subtitled in local languages. Just as the name says, these subs are made by fans and are kept on private sites. You can usually download the latest anime movies from these sites, but they aren’t legal. Another thing about them is that they are private, so the bandwidth and the server are far from great. The speed of download will be slow.
